From the book Texting
Better messages. Real chemistry. No games.
Write messages that are easy to answer, and turn a good conversation into a real date. No scripts, no pressure, no performing a fake personality.
A good conversation is co-created.
Most chats don't die because someone said something wrong. They fade because there was nothing to pick up. Three small habits fix most of it.
1
Be specific
Notice something real. A detail beats a compliment, and a question beats “how are you?”
2
Give them something to answer
Answer, then add one small hook: a detail, a choice, a tiny confession.
3
Make the plan clear
A time, a place, and room for a no is easier to say yes to than “we should hang out.”
